The core requirement
CC BY 4.0 permits sharing and adaptation, including commercial use, when you give appropriate credit, link to the license, and indicate whether changes were made. The credit should not imply that the creator endorses you.
Use the TASL checklist
A useful attribution records the Title, Author, Source, and License. Keep the information together when practical, or link to a clearly labeled credits page when the format has limited space.
- Title of the material
- Creator or attribution party
- Link to the original source
- CC BY 4.0 name and license link
Mark modifications
Say when you cropped, translated, edited, remixed, or otherwise changed the material. Preserve earlier modification notices when the source provides them, and keep a copy of the source record for your files.
