The sharing restriction

CC BY-ND 4.0 does not authorize sharing adapted material. Version 4.0 can permit making an adaptation privately, but publishing the adaptation normally requires separate permission or an applicable legal exception.

Not every technical change is an adaptation

A purely technical format shift may not create an adaptation, while a translation, remix, or sufficiently creative edit often can. The boundary depends on applicable copyright law and the facts.

Audio and video need special care

Creative Commons treats synchronizing music with moving images as an adaptation for its licenses. ND-licensed music therefore should not be placed into a shared video without separate permission.
